My Story By Jack whilst in Hospital.

I was getting really fed up and frustrated feeling ill for so many weeks & my dad thought I was playing games. I was even sick at school a few times and sent home. It wasn’t fair because dad said right then you will have to stay in your bedroom and get better. I wasn’t even allowed to play games or watch TV!, anyway I kept feeling sick for a couple of weeks and couldn’t eat my dinner so Mum took me to the Doctors. We went there three times but they didn’t know what was wrong with me. By this time my head was hurting quite a lot and I was still being sick so then Mum and Dad took me to A & E at the hospital. After some tests and a scan the Doctors found there was something wrong.

They are now making me better.

It was really exciting we went in the ambulance from Reading to Oxford we went really fast and the blue light and siren were on all the way. All the cars got out of the way and we went straight through all the red lights.

Here I am now at a really nice hospital who look after poorly children. On Thursday I had to have an operation. It wasn’t very nice, I was put to sleep and when I woke up I had a really sore throat and it lasted all the next day, I was so thirsty, because I was so brave dad promised me a new DSi which I got the next day.

I have had a really good time here because they have lots of things to do for children. There is a big playroom with lots of toys, Playstation, and a Wii, today they even let me go on the internet at the reception desk where I read some lovely messages from my family and friends. I have my own tele and telephone. My bed is electric and moves up and down and backwards and forwards and so does the bath in the bathroom. My mum and dad have their own room upstairs and they take it in turns to sleep with me at night. Sometimes I feel poorly and tired and it makes me cry but other times I feel ok. I have had lots of visitors and I am so lucky to have so many people around who care about me.

On Monday I am going to have another operation which is going to make me even more better.

I will speak to you after Monday and tell you how my operation went.
